Hi guys, it’s Lily again, and today I’m going to be talking about the half term, my birthday coming up and some more of my poems, so I hope you like it! But remember you have to read my first blog before this one!!! So first of all I’m going to be talking about quick ways to do the 9 times tables!

Times tables

so first of all I would like to say thank you to my friends Ruby and Emily for showing me this method it was really helpful! So first of all you will write 0 to 9 in a column like this..

0        9

1        8

2        7

3        6

4        5

5        4

6        3

7        2

8        1

9        0

Then you write next to it in a column 9 down to 0…

then if you look at it their’s your 9 times table!

Ok now were done with that lets move on my birthday!!!!!

Birthday

Ok so my birthday (today as I’m writing this) is tomorrow!!! If you want me to be precise its on the 27th of October. Now everyone has a theme or something special to do on there birthday and I’m going to have my party on my birthday and I’m inviting 2 of my friends round for a sleepover. But first we will go to a place called Jump Giants! Now if you don’t know what that is it’s basically a big, big room filled with trampolines so the walls are trampolines and the floor are trampolines! It would be pretty cool if the ceiling were trampolines, but that won’t happen will it? There’s even sports but not ordinary sports as the floor is a trampoline and you jump on the trampoline and try and throw the basketball through the hoop! Then there’s doge ball and you can jump on trampolines to miss the ball! Then, last but not least… THE FOAM PIT! So there’s one big trampoline in the middle and 2 little ones on the side and you can just boing into the foam pit. ( The foam pit is actually quite hard to get out of because it feels like your sinking in foam!)

Poems

So in my last blog I wrote 3 poems for you to read so now I’m going to write 3 different poems…

The Rainforest

The lurking predators that stroll through the night,

The moon and the stars shining bright,

Owls hooting, tigers growling shaking with fear, coldness and fright,

Now that is a rainforest, a rainforest at night.

Inspired by my learning in year 4 about the rainforest

Feathers

The soft touch of feathers,

The different kinds of weathers,

The sweet smell of heathers,

The class full of clever’s,

Inspiration by a feather tissue box my nan gave to me.

Christmas tree

Christmas tree,

Oh christmas tree,

Your as bushy as can be,

Your emerald leaves,

Always fall of the tree,

But christmas tree,

Oh christmas tree,

Your still a delight to see.

Half term

So thats finished now the half term. So this is not going to be all about me this time because I want you to comment and tell me what you are going to do for the half term! It can be inviting your friend over to going to a theme park. If you are not doing anything (which is quite unlikely) just say what you wish you were doing so there is no excuse saying that you didn’t do anything in the half term. So that’s it from me but feel free to not say what your doing in the half term and just type something else, so thats it. My 2nd blog finished!
